Still a few bugs.

Almost everything went well this year until I started my state taxes. Part of our retirement income, but not some of similar type, was transfered as if it were interest and taxable when it is not. I could have perhaps understood this and the need to check to see if it was taxable or not if all of the same types of income had been transferred.
What's great about it: Easy to use for the most part.
What's not so great: Transfer to state taxes needs work.

Just What I Wanted!

I don't remember exactly where but there were a couple of spots that asked how I wanted to proceed. The software didn't give me information based on my figures or other info to help me decide. I think they were new procedures.
What's great about it: got money back, was easy to use, has improved
What's not so great: couple spots didn't provide enough info

Makes doing taxes relatively painless

Up through 2009 I used HR Block/TaxCut. Then they changed their software and it was cumbersome to use. I was motivated to try TurboTax and have loved it ever since I switched. I do not plan on changing back. I own a home, have a child, make donations and have some investments and found the Deluxe version to suit me just fine. I have no complaints.
What's great about it: Simple to follow through all the steps
What's not so great: Haven't really found any

Turbo Tax allows me to do my taxes on my time and its easy!

Makes filing a return easy and fast

this year was simple and fast, but it mainly is fast due to having used the prior year were all data is retrived, this makes doing the taxs a flash. Was done in under 3 hours. Thanks for the product.
