Turbo tax got my business a decade ago after a terrible, costly experience with a professional tax preparation agent. I will never stop using turbo tax. It is easy...it is easy.. yes i said it twice because it is so easy. I remember the terrible days of the paper return... thank you turbo tax for making this so easy.
What's great about it: Easy, confident and trust worthy
What's not so great: Really, in the world of taxes, there are none

2012 Was Easier Than Before

In 2011 my wife lost her job. I have large carryover losses from a rental property. When I entered the rental information this year everything was automatically recalculated and my tax bill went away. Turbo Tax was worth the cost just for that one feature alone.
What's great about it: Calcuations are automatic and show the refund\payment status
What's not so great: The default is to use the online version. Wasted time trying to find the download.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

refinance help

I can't help but think there are thousands of TT users who refinanced and have similar questions to mine. I noticed that the help sections sent people to group help with largely unanswered questions on points and other charges. It would seem that the price of admission to TT would include a few experts looking over these threads and answering. It is also somewhat surprising that there isn't an easy library detailing refinance. Like I said, I found the information, it just wasn't as straightforward as I think it should be. Probably should have its own bullet in the deduction/mortgage section

It is so nice to compare year after year and the software pulls in my information. It makes it so easy!
What's great about it: Compare your returns from year to year.
What's not so great: Nothing with the software but you still have to gather your information.

Great Product!

I can sit in the comfort of my home and have my taxes done in less than an hour! As a bonus, I don't have to guess about anything and worry if I did it right because TurboTax takes all the worry away.
What's great about it: It was so easy to do with TurboTax. It pulls all my information from all financial institutions automatically.s
What's not so great: none
