Wish I got more

Very user friendly no matter your tax knowledge
What's great about it: Very helpful for determining value of charitable donations
What's not so great: Hard to get the right forms to print
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Taxes Made Easy!

Very easy to use and understand. My wife is self employed and the business income is very easy using Turbo Tax

What's not so great: Charge to file State return when it is available free on State website

Was a thorough and quick

I have been using Turbotax for over 15 years and quite frankly was not looking forward to this year's return because of the changes in income for our family. It surprised me with how easily it cut through all the questions and issues I thought would be complex.
What's great about it: thorough and quick
What's not so great: NA
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Good product

Over all the program worked really well. The directions were clear and it was easy to navigate back and forth through the documents for any changes that needed to be made. Most of my questions were addressed in the topic drop down list. It took me only a few hours to complete the federal return and 2 state returns.
Filing was a little challenging. I had specific guidelines for e-filing and was told that the number would go in a different location. However the different location never appeared so I believe that I will have to paper file instead. This was very frustrating.

What's great about it: I appreciated how easy it was to complete my federal income tax and multiple state filings.
What's not so great: I had specific requirements when filing my federal income tax that were challenging to incorporate

One More Time

I have used TurboTax for years and have always been pleased with the results. I like that you can download information from banks, employers, financial corporations etc. If you use it in concecutive years, it will compare them so that you do not leave out anything. The hardest part of this program has been getting a "nickname" for this review.
What's great about it: Step by step feature to walk through each form. Review for errors.
What's not so great: High price for buying an additional state.

I continue to file with Turbotax, because it works, and goes the "extra" mile.
What's great about it: Step by step directions lay it out like a pro.

For the past 8 or so years, I've been using turbotax and have always had a good experience. Instructions are easy to follow and help you get your taxes done quickly. I had a situation this year that deluxe didn't really explain, but considering it involved farm income, I wouldn't really expect it to since it applies to so few people. That's really the only issue I've ever had with the program, as it deals well with normal situations like buying a home or changing jobs. I would recommend.
What's great about it: easy to use
