I've tried to manually file my taxes in the past only to be totally frustrated with the amount of paperwork and chances for multiple errors.
If you forget a form, you're out of luck and do overs are a pain.
turbo Tax walks you through the whole process and then guarantees the results before you file.

Even easier than last year!

Overall, another easy eFile through TurboTax -- the well-thought out programming is what keeps me coming back, year after tax year!
What's great about it: Ease of use through the interview process, transferring data from previous returns.
What's not so great: ItsDeductible -- couldn't find an easy way to enter data that did not come up in the search function.

Tax Preparation (Almost) a Pleasure

Except for the cold reality that more of my hard-earned money is being wasted by the Federal and State Governments, I'm starting to actually look forward to the tax preparation season and using TurboTax. I can still install it on an old XP machine and run it without any bugs. Merging information from the tax forms of previous years is a real time saver, and the guided, step-by-step format assures the user that every detail is addressed. No need to worry about overlooking the latest tax law changes! The ItsDeductable tool is also invaluable for calculating non-cash contributions. TurboTax is a great, easy-to-use product, and I will almost look forward to tax time next year.
What's great about it: Each year is updated for tax law changes. User-guided format is incredibly easy to use.
What's not so great: Cheesy photos of "tax experts" appear throughout the tax prep session. (Are they REALLY providing personal assistance?)

TurboTax has been very reliable for me, since my tax preparation is relatively simple. Saves me the cost of hiring someone to prepare my taxes.
What's great about it: directions easy to follow

We move frequently and have fairly complicated tax situations each year. We've been filing our taxes with Turbo Tax for years and don't know how we'd ever figure these out without it.

Only a Second Timer, it took longer this year than last year but made it on time! Filing is easy!
What's great about it: Like they say "Easy Step by Step Guide"

Surprising Results!

My husband and I earned more than we have ever earned this year. I expected that we would owe more given that we didn't withhold more taxes. Fortunately, Turbo Tax helped me itemize all of my deductions very carefully and we ended up with a refund!
