This year's version is actually easier than last year.
slimmed down and quicker.

What's great about it: Very easy and thorough. Easy to use. If you have your check register and your receipts, its about 2 hours.
What's not so great: None really

It could be better

Once you file your returns electronically, you cannot print out the confirmation from the screen.
To have a 4/3/2013 Update impair your online filing on 4/6/2013 is rediculous. Then you have to download, install and restart your computer. This is inexcusable.
What's great about it: Most questions are straight forward
What's not so great: Some questions are obtuse.

So easy!

I was a little worried because I havent done my own taxes for years and also was unsure how the death of my husband in 2012 would effect my taxes. It was easy! They asked my status for 2012 and when I marked widow, they followed up with the necessary questions and directions that set my mind at ease. I would recommend it for everyone!
What's great about it: So easy to follow, helpful every step of the way

I have used Turbo Tax each year and have valued the ease with which I am able to complete both my federal and state taxes.
What's great about it: I like that the program walked me through each deduction.
What's not so great: No Cons

extra easy software

Just an inexpensive way to file a tax return for everybody. No experience or tax knowledge needed to achieve the same result as the tax pros who charge a big fee.

Electronic filing for state return should be as easy and free as e-filing for the state return--Turbotax hasn't figured out the obvious.
What's great about it: handles the calculations
What's not so great: wants to print insane amounts of paper, fee for state e-file
