Turbo Tax is easy and quick

Almost Too Easy

This is the umpteenth year I've used Turbo Tax. A few years ago I was a "block"head and tried another software and was not nearly as satisfied with the ease of use. I learned my lesson and will never stray again! If you have never tried Turbo Tax because you aren't sure you can manuever through the process, you really need to try it. For less money than you would have to pay a tax preparer (who probably uses similar software anyway), in just a couple of hours at the most you can complete your taxes, e-file them, and be relieved that the process is over for another year! The only thing easier would be if the government would institute a flat tax, and you and I both know that's never gonna happen!
What's great about it: Asks all the right questions. Quick and painless
What's not so great: Some explanations are a little too difficult to fully grasp.

Appreciative Tax Filer

I am most appreciative for all the reminders to remember things I'd never think of. I also like how I can go back a multitude of screens and not have to enter my info again when I go forward in the screens again.
State Tax form has a place to enter Health Insurance premiums paid by the employee but it didn't have an explanation of what qualifies and what doesn't. In my case, I pay premiums for Medical and Health Care Insurance and separate premiums for Dental and Eye Care (both which the Employer contributes to the premiums also). I also pay premiums to Aflac for which the employer does not contribute. All premiums that I pay are withheld from my paycheck pre-tax. I couldn't figure out whether or not those premiums qualified on the State Tax Form. Thank you for caring about our experiences. Dawn

What's not so great: The State File had new entry for Health Care Premiums paid by employee but didn't explain

Raised My Refund

Overall Turbo Tax is very easy to use. One area I did run into with what I call an error is when I entered my husband's unreimbursed employee expenses in Federal, when I got to the state, no matter which I chose, Used Federal or use PA Amounts, I had to re-enter it all again.
What's great about it: Easy Walk-Through
What's not so great: Couldn't find where to enter my Per Capita Tax

Fast and Quick... OMG!

I have used TX software for a very long time and it has significantly gotten much better. with the ability of quick review after each completed filing and online filing makes life easier. the only draw back i saw was that once the software started it seems to have an issues with the community link. Not sure if this was just my computer or other people have the same problem.

Easy to use

I use to do my taxes by myself. It took days to interpret the instructions and I was never sure if I was doing it right. As my taxes got harder, with things like marriage, children, investments, and self employment, I knew I needed help. I first tried Turbo Tax in 2006. It was so easy! What use to take days only took a few hours. I like the step by step instructions that make me look at areas I wouldn't normally think about. I like being able to get to the actual form to check and change details when I need to. Turbo Tax has made tax time much less stressful for me.
What's great about it: Easy, step by step instructions.
What's not so great: Hard to get back into the self employment area.
