Turbo Tax Review for 2012

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now, and I will continue to use because:
1. the questions are easy to answer
2. It covers all topics that I need
3. Gives me examples of the answers needed
4. Support people are very helpful
5. So, far, the price of the software is reasonable

What's great about it: Most questions are easy to answer
What's not so great: Never actually spoke to a CPA when needed to
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great program!!! Very easy to use and very thorough in asking for information. Only change I would like to see is a more comprehensive explanation to the changes that were made to your total from last year to the present year.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate and thorough
What's not so great: Could explain year over year changes better
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

First Time Turbo Tax user

I enjoyed using Turbo Tax. Everything was easy to understand. I especially liked the ease of e-filing both Federal and State returns simultaneously. The only complaint is that I seemed to be entering data over and over. For example, my email address. But, overall I would purchase Turbo Tax again.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, intuitive, and fast
What's not so great: I seemed to have to enter data multiple times

Great product

I've been using TurboTax since it written for DOS, (prior to Windows) and have always had great results. Never any problems, easy to use in either guided or expert modes. I wish PC all software worked as well as this.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate

TroubleTax not TurboTax

Too many glitches. Not user friendly in certain areas. I have used TurboTax in the past and now I remember why I stopped.
What's great about it: Not really anything that stands out except it can really drive you crazy if that's what you want.
What's not so great: Too much trouble! I have used other programs that are easier.

The process was straightforward and relatively easy to follow. I was most challenged by the IRA, Trustee to Trustee transfer. However, the help section on this put my mind at ease. My other challenge was on the Schedule D section on the Trust with the short and Long-Term Capital Gain. Again, the help section led to a better understanding on my part.
What's great about it: the prompts and the why behind the explanation on the trust section
What's not so great: none really
