Works okay

I've used TT for years to do my taxes, and I still find it strange that it remembers some things about me, and not others. Like bank account information - it remembered it on mine, but not on my daughter's. Generally easy enough to use, good explanations and the help file is useful.
Last year, it let me make a huge mistake with my 529 plan, and didn't tell me that I was doing something wrong (or that didn't make sense), so I ended up having to file amended returns. That's the only time I've ever had a problem. Otherwise, it seems good. Don't know about this year yet though!
What's great about it: easy enough
What's not so great: didn't remember some information that I thought it should

Efile was painful

Easy to use but E-file error was extremely annoying. Kept asking to check for updates prior to E-file. I checked, had most recent version, yet still could not E-file. Had to uninstall and restall to get to work.
What's great about it: easily uploaded my investments
What's not so great: Efile kept asking for updates

Wonderful

My husband passed away in December. He had prepared our returns for many years using TurboTax. I was able to do the 2012 return easily because TurboTax pulled everything in from the prior returns. This helped me to know what 1099's I needed to look for from my husbands business. It made a difficult experience much easier.
What's great about it: Handled the passing of my husband

2012 Tax Return

Overall a good product and one that I would recommend to others. It seems to cover all the areas that are important to me.
What's great about it: Walked me through all areas of the return

Rely on Turbotax every year

I like the feature that starts with my prior year Turbotax file. This year, however, I only had the PDF of my last year's tax return. TurboTax was able to pull the info off the PDF file - a pleasant surprise! I also like the feature that loads W2 and bank info online - very convenient and more accurate than hand entry.
What's great about it: Was able to capture my 2011 info from the PDF return
