it works and leads you thru the jungle with ease
What's great about it: walks you step by step, or allows you to move quickly on your own
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Reliable as always but might need a tweak or two

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last couple of years to file my returns and I have been able to do so without issue. However, with a recent change to my employment, I had to delve deeper into other areas of my return filing. I was required to submit information related to a 1099-MISC income form for the year. Though I was unfamiliar with this form, Turbo Tax was able to lead me through the issue mostly without problems. However, I did encounter some issues when submitting some recorded data, related the additional income. I had questions on how to correctly provide the data and was looking for further clarification. Unfortunately, when I clicked the link for additional help, there was a message stating that the section was under construction. I can understand this response if I purchased the software towards the beginning of the tax filing season and was one of the first users, but you wouldn't expect to see this response with less than two weeks until the filing deadline. Fortunately, I reached out to others with more experience in filing returns than myself and was able to work the through the situation. Other than this mishap, I was able to finish and submit the paperwork. I am happy to have completed my tax filing again but would like to see that the help sections are working and available when they are really needed, especially when working in unfamiliar territory.
What's great about it: The walk-thru feature for each section of the return
What's not so great: At leas one of the links to the help section was under construction.

Excellent TurboTax Experience

Having used TubroTax many times in the past, this year's experience was very straight forward. The TurboTax interview, along with my folder of tax forms and other information, coupled with a copy of last year's paperwork for reference made the filing of my 2012 taxes go quickly. It seems like every year I see subtle improvements in an already great tax program. This year, things went very smoothly...
Highly recommended!
What's great about it: Simple, easy to use interface
What's not so great: Not much!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I chose TurboTax this year because I used it two years ago and felt that it was easier to use than the program I used last year.
What's great about it: Ease of inputting data, ease of importing data, helpful prompts
What's not so great: Need definite options to choose deduction type, last told couldn't efile state

I have no idea how I would file with out turbotax. It is a money saver and a money maker. I have used this product for the last 3 years and wll continue to do so for a long time!

This product is such a cake walk if you have all your ducks in a row and required paperwork. Step by step is really slick. Having a little back ground with tax forms and language is always helpful, but really not required. This is not intimidating at all and there's no need to be afraid of missing anything. It's all covered!
What's great about it: The walk thru process is simple and fast.
What's not so great: Have to re-input info for state after editing fed

I will always use TurboTax to do my taxes. I can't believe I used to pay someone to do this for me!
