I was apprehensive to break away from my tax professional 2013 was my third year with turbotax and what a breeze it was. I made 2 data entry errors and it helped me find them and get me the best possible return.
What's great about it: quick, easy, checks and balances
What's not so great: lots of data entry

Not as easy as it used to be

I almost missed a deduction for loan origination fees on a refi because the step-by-step directions weren't clear that they would qualify and because TTax used the term "points" rather than "loan origination fees." In previous years TTax had more help links than this version.
What's great about it: Step-by-step is the way to go
What's not so great: Needs more links to help subjects

OK til the end.

All went well until I was almost ready to submit. Program asked for info it had not asked for before. Namely, the state and zip code from my W-2. Problem is I didn't have a W-2 this year. Wouldn't let me proceed until I inserted some information.Used my last employer info.
Wasn't about to use a chat program or something to find out what to do.

What's great about it: Identified areas I would not have been aware of.
What's not so great: Wrapping up the process is awkward.

New to Turbo Tax

I am new to Turbo Tax and taxes in general. This is my first year filing and I was pleased with the ease with which I was able to file my taxes using Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great once we finally got it working

We've used TuboTax for years and really feel it's the best stuff out there. However, when we tried to load TurboTax 2012 delux (from CD) onto our new Windows 8 laptop we had to endure many freezes, and "fatal errors". We had to remove/uninstall several times before it finally properly loaded. Once it was on AOK - everything was wonderful (as usual/expected). I feel TuroTax asks enough questions to truly assure me I'm getting the maximum refund. Thanks!
What's great about it: Very thorough, easy to use
What's not so great: Serious installation issues with Windows 8

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 10+ years. I've never had an issue and the returns are faster and faster every year.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions, fast return!
What's not so great: Advertisements and offers

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years. Have never found a problem with the software.
The Error Check has found many errors on me!!
Wish they would increase the E-file limit so all my family could E-file.
