It would be a lot nicer if one could have a hierarchical over view and then be able to select the areas that apply to the individual return situation.
What's great about it: Ease of entering data
What's not so great: Can't just skip past the areas that don't apply
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great software

I have been using the Turbo Tax software for years. It is a great company to use for taxes and the years of experience really show up in the simple to use interface. I would have liked it better if the prices for extras were more up front, but it wasn't as if it was a surprise or anything.
What's great about it: easy to use, simple interface, easy installation, great explanations
What's not so great: not as transparent about extra fees

Fantastic Product

Been Using this product for 15 years and have always relied on the software to be the easiest and quickest way to do the family taxes.
Dis mine and my kids in an afternoon will 100% confidence.
Would NEVER use anything else...

Pretty easy

I have used TurboTax for several years, and it was easier than ever to prepare our tax return this year. TurboTax walked me through it step-by-step, and answered all of my questions. When I finished, I had no doubt that I had prepared my return correctly, and we had gotten all of the deductions and credits we are entitled to.

Filing made easy.

Overall, it makes filing our taxes easy. The only issue I have is how to handle my land lease payment. Of the 11 acres we live on, we lease 8 acres to a local farmer who pays me for the use of my land. TurboTax Deluxe has struggled through this, wanting me to get the upgrade to TurboTax Premier. I don't believe this is a necessary upgrade because I have no real established business or risks. I will say that this year was not as cumbersome with claiming my lease payment as it has in years past. Not sure what has changed in the programming of TurboTax Deluxe to make this easier, but it works.
What's great about it: Excellent step by step questioning of your personal situation.
What's not so great: How to handle my land lease payment from the farmer I lease to.

Continuing to Excel

TurboTax has made the annual chore of Tax Return Prep almost enjoyable. (Who enjoys paying taxes?) The only question that I have each year is how to enter the State Taxable income for my wife as she is employed in Oregon, but lives and works from home in Washington. However, this year the changes to the OR State form has made that even easier than the past.
I have highly recommended TurboTax to my friends!!
What's great about it: I can complete my annual tax chore accurately in a fraction of the time it takes to do it manually.
What's not so great: Dealing with state taxable income
