Good To Go Refund

TurboTax has always been great for me. The program makes filling in Tax Information easy. Especially like having automatic entry of data from brokerage accounts.
What's great about it: Ease Of Use

I found that this version (2012) of TurboTax easy to use but it takes a long time to filter through all of the options of deductions. The medical deductions area especially need a list of combinations of entries to help users sort and calculate the values in each of the categories in this area. It is frustrating to go all of, or most of, the way trough the section to sort out what needs to be entered. Ie.. where do you put ambulance expenses.
What's great about it: ease of use for the most part.
What's not so great: takes a long time to sort through the med. section.

Every year it gets easier to do my taxes becasue it knows what to look for based on previous submissions

Good For All Except Local

I have used TuroTax for several years and find it easy and pretty painless. I do like how it picks information from the previous year so you don't have to re-type so much information. I have recommended to several others. The only problem is that it does a terrible job with the local city taxes. I always have to re-do by hand. This is not a big problem since I know to look for problems in this area.
What's great about it: Easy to follow year to year.
What's not so great: Makes mistakes on Local Returns

Brilliant product!
First time I have used it and I really like the step-by-step walk through!
Much better than sitting with a person and them asking the same redundant questions over and over.
I have used all the tax programs on the market and sat with all the companies that do this - I cant believe I havent been doing this on my own already, it's an awesome product and great value for money.
I was able to do my own taxes in under one hour, It would have taken longer than that just to drive to my 'Tax Professional' after going through the program I soon realised that this is the ONLY tax professional to use!
