Overall I am very glad I chose TurboTax and would highly recommend it
What's great about it: step by step guide; easy; clear and concise
What's not so great: navigating back through documents if you think you missed something can be a little cumbersom
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax review

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and couldn't be happier with the results. I've even taken my tax info to a competitor's service for a comparison of services and return outcome. I was impressed and convinced that with Turbo Tax I could handle my own tax returns, confidently generate accurate tax returns and save myself money in the process. When I started using Turbo Tax I thought my tax life was fairly complicated but Turbo Tax walked me through it. The guided step by step process helped me to be comfortable that I would not miss anything important. Along the way there are help features and explanations that make everything clear and easy to understand. The final error check completes my confidence to submit my return to the revenue department. With everything saved in PDF files I never have to search for my old returns. I know exactly where they are. And Turbo Tax even pre-loads the new year's tax return with last year's data, saving me lots of time.
What's great about it: Easy to use and thorough

Worked well

Remember most of settings of check boxes, on second passes this year. Had cryptic symptoms to a problem due to mis-coding the 2nd foreign tax entry.
What's great about it: worked well this year
What's not so great: a few cryptic problems

It Seem easier this Year.

In this years Tax return it seem like the explaination of the step by step walk through wear better explained.I only had trouble with a couple of steps in the return but I called your hot line number and got the explaination that I needed.Overall I had a lot easier time with my taxes.
What's great about it: The step by step ,seem to be better explained
What's not so great: Annuities from inheiatance from family member does not appear in your step by step walk through.

Don't be afraid

For adults that might be afraid of doing their taxes, Turbo tax makes it a breeze. I have had one problem in 8 years and it was a gov't snafu they lost the paperwork. I had it I produced it and they went away. I would reccommend this to folks for its ease and simplicity. All you have to do is keep your normal parework adn follow the prompts
What's great about it: Its a simple process
What's not so great: sometimes there are too many deductions I don't have to worry about

What's great about it: EasyStep Interview, import prior year, deduction maximizer, e-file for fast refund
What's not so great: My husband hasn't volunteered to file for me.

Last year I had asked various TT users for help with my K1's and i got differant answers from each helper. This year i sold a K1 and could have used help regarding individual state requirements.
What's great about it: carryovers from previous year info
What's not so great: K1 support is needed
