You need to choose the right Turbo Tax program depending on your situation. I like that all the math computation is done for you as well as transferring the information to other forms in which the info is needed. It's almost like completeing a crossword puzzle! There is great satisfaction when it's finished, and you feel as if you've done everything right and taken advantage of all the deductions you're allowed. I wish the cost of the program was less expensive.
What's great about it: Easy to use; covers all subjects; makes doing taxes more palatable
What's not so great: sometimes doesn't transfer schedule b information

Eight Years and Counting!

We've been using Turbo Tax since 2005 and it has without question improved our tax filing process. We get better refunds too!
It's Deductible helps us track and get sensible valuations for our donated items and makes inputing that data a breeze.
I have every expectation we will continue to use it so long as it continues to offer the same ease of interface and clear methodology

I'll purchase Turbo Tax again. Program moved along so much better this year than last year!!
What's great about it: Covered the areas much better this year!
What's not so great: Michigan taxes - didn't indicate my deceased husbands pension separately as form indicated it would do.

Easy & fast

Program worked easily & was easy to update / save multiple copies trying out different scenarios, after starting with estimates in Nov 2012. Hardest part was entering all the charities donated to since I didn't bring them forward from 2011. The worksheets were easy to use and covered everything, I couldn't find any subject missed (and I've been doing this for over 40 years).
What's great about it: Title says it all.
What's not so great: Nothing particular
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Using this software has saved me money and made filling easy to do. Loved how it would continue to ask questions trying to find the max refund possible. just a great product to use, thankyou I will be using this again in the future!!

K1 Needs Work

I am a long-time TT user with over a dozen K1's. to process. Every year I am hoping that your software will do a better job and make it easier for me to deal with this complex task. But, it doesn't seem to be the case.
You need to spend some serious time with real users and real K1's to thoroughly understand what I am saying.
What's great about it: Generally a very good software program
What's not so great: K1's are still a nightmare

Fast and Eazy

This is one of the best methods of doing your taxes yourself.
You have all the information right in front of you. And you are told where to put the information at each step. Like someone is holding your hand.
There are many reviews to keep you from going in the wrong direction. A 12 year old could do a complicated tax return with
Turbotax.

What's great about it: All the on line help and the help tools
What's not so great: Like to store each year on a disk. Not on the computer.
