What's great about it: easy guide was great
What's not so great: can be confusing when going thru possible extra deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Experience since last several years and it gets better every year.
What's great about it: detailed explanantion , guided flow and wasy to follow
What's not so great: Turbo Tax should help in auditing WITHOUT upfront cost, People Will be willing to pay once they get audited.

Turbotax is easy to use and I can trust its accuracy for filing my tax return. Thank you Turbotax.
What's great about it: Support techs and CPA were excellent to work with when I had questions, they were quick to answer.
What's not so great: None.

First Time Owing

This is the first full year I’ve had to file two forms my full time job W-2 and my part time job 1099. I was worried because I knew my part time contract job was paying me w/o taxing and I would get I 1099. I didn’t want to pay a huge out of pocket expense to have someone else prepare my taxes when I knew that I would defiantly end up owing something. I like that I could stop and half way through and then come back to my return. It was very helpful to complete the Federal section, get an exact amount owed and not have to immediately have to pay out. I rearranged some finances and came back just before 4/15 to complete my e-file and easily pay off the balanced owed for 2012. I am confident in the amount I paid and am very happy with the Maximum Deduction feature, it was important to me to not pay more than I needed to!

I don't have alot to claim, being single, with no kids, and renting an appartment for the last 4 years, so I cannot justify spending money on a "proffesional" to have my taxes done for me. That being said I still want the job done right. This program makes it extremely easy to fill in the right info (a monkey trained on a peanut reward system could manage this proccess) and it helps you check all the right forms out to make sure you get everything you can. It can be as easy or detailed as you need it to be by breaking down the outline of your taxes to basic or, if needed, you can go threw every form that's out there. I split the cost of this program with my dad and we do our taxes together (5 year tradition) and I don't think you could really ask for a better setup for someone like me or anyone really.
What's great about it: Quick, extremely easy, and supprisingly thorough
What's not so great: Don't have any
