Tax Prep Made Easy

I have been using tax software for many many years now. Turbo Tax is so easy, just answer the questions and everything else is done for you. The e-filing and notifications are nice too. I would and have recommended this product to all of my friends and family.
What's great about it: Just answer the questions and you're done.
What's not so great: Back button didn't always go back. On main screen had to scroll down each time to hit next.

Liking TurboTax

I have been using Turbo tax for years. It is easy to import data and saves me a lot of time.
What's great about it: Easy to use, like the flags, like option to go with flow or explore on own
What's not so great: cost,

Fantastically Fast

Fast and complete. Updating keeps package accurate.
Can alternate between a guided or independent entry. Super
easy e-file process.

What's great about it: Very efficient in capturing current tax nuances
What's not so great: Delux package no longer includes ItsDeductible!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Tax Return Simplified

Excellent product. I file 6 schedule E's and 1 schedule A and additionally have wages. All easy to access utilizing forms instead of going through entire interview as I am familiar with all needed forms. I have used turbo tax since 1994 and will use no other tax product!
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Prints too many pages

con: the suggestion that I start a new roth IRA -- you see, I have no 'earned income', only retirement income -- thus am not entitled to start a new IRA. Yet I wasted at least two hrs pursuing that idea. On the california return: I got confused about the dates I entered & left CA which has to do with residency. Yet you did help me about this during the CA review.
pro: I've always used the easy-step way & still like it very much; I like to e-file my returns; I like to pay online what ever is needed. I trust that doing so is secure like you say.
I like saving my return in PDF format to be used as needed.
I liked the idea of e-filing only the Fed first today. And it has already been accepted; that does not mean that they have approved everything, but at least now I can efile my 2 states.

Easier every year.

I've used TurboTax off and on for several years. It's still the least time-consuming method to do your taxes, especially if you already know what you're doing. This year it handled some unusual situations just fine.
There are a few places where you still need to consult official IRS.gov forms and instructions to make sure you're doing it right. The simplified instructions in TurboTax are just that: simplified.
I'm not fond of the "upgrade for additional help" button on the right. Upgrading in many places won't actually provide additiona taxl help. It seems a little money-grubbing to me.
What's great about it: Quick. Didn't miss anything.
What's not so great: Still need to use IRS.gov for answers to specific questions

I have used this product for over 15 years, ever since it first came to the very old macs. you have now, for the first time, stopped producing it for my mac, so i will no longer be purchasing this product. i will look for another product that will run on other machines that i have.
What's great about it: esy to follow
What's not so great: doens't work anymore on my 32bit mac
