Have been using fo since early 2000's. Consistantly easy to use and helpful when there may be questions.
What's great about it: prompts and abililty to go directely to a specific location

This is the greatest tax software system ever! I will never use anytning else! Thank you all for developing this system!
What's great about it: Easy to use; Relieves me from having to do the tax reserach; I have all the trust in the world in Turbo Tax!! God Bless!
What's not so great: There are not cons ...everything was perfect!!

Kept insisting on entering a W2 form - that I do not use - could not get it efiled -
What's great about it: Used it for years - makes filing east to do - easy to understand
What's not so great: This time it was a headache - ran into snags that I didn't expect and don't usually have

Example: If we are required to get an IRS PIN each year it should say so. If we can use the same PIN year after year, it should say so.
Example: The HSA information should go into more detail as to how it is calculated as it is confusing when the W2 indicates that the value is "Employer Contributions" when it is my contributions.

I've spent way too much for too long on accountants who I never trusted knew that much about the ins and outs of filing as a single mom federally, and as a civil union/married couple in New Jersey, with joint filing in New York. I've also never gotten straight answers from accountants when I've asked about deductions, limiting our liabilities, etc. Turbo Tax tells me everything, for about a third of the price of one of those accountants. LOVE IT.
What's great about it: Knows all of the rules regarding civil unions, lets me make three federal returns without charging me an arm and a leg!
What's not so great: Can be a little confusing about whether a federal return or individual return has been submitted accidentally

Good Experience

I don't understand the tax system so Turbo Tax is good for me because it guides me through the process very easily. I trust that it's putting it all together correctly. This is the 5th or 6th year I've used Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy guidance.
What's not so great: I hate working on computers
