Good for value

We used a professional tax service last year. Not only we spent a few hours sitting with the guy, we paid a few hundred dollars for the service AND we got a letter from the state department of revenue for a calculation mistake. It was a terrible experience.
Using Turbo Tax this year, we spent about the same time and paid much less for the software compared with the last year's filing.
We liked Turbo Tax and we will likely keep using it for years to come.

What's great about it: It's user-friendly.
What's not so great: You have to prepare the same documents that are required for paper filing anyway.

Great Refund!

It is a bit easy to miss where to log in the union expenses, I had to go back in to find where it was, and input the information. Also when a financial institution only sends you a year end statement for you interest earned, the program should provide that option at the same time it offers the 1099 form for interest.
What's great about it: Straight forward process
What's not so great: A little hiccup regarding wrok expenses

I feel so confident that my taxes have been done correctly using Turbo Tax. It guides you step by step but allows you to search for specific items that you may need to address. Love to see that it also catches little mistakes (like entering 0.00 when it should be left blank) as well as offering the Learn More links to give you details of specific term. It make the process almost painless.
What's great about it: Guiding you step by step.

TurboTax - The Greateat

I have been using TurboTax for a number of years and find it a pleasure to use. The autofill from previous years is a nice feature. It'sdetuctible software is great for itemizing and pricing donations. I feel that I have control over my tax preparation process.

Challenging task made easier

I had to file an amended return for a previous year. Turbotax made it very easy and the guided steps came in very handy to aid with understanding how to do it less painfully.
I love the alerts to potential flags.
What's great about it: Love the guided steps
What's not so great: A couple roadblocks require further research
