I have used Turbo Tax for several years and find it easy to use. I appreciate the double checks and reviews. I love being able to import our information from the previous year and just updating figures. It is a big time saver.
The explanations given for each section are overall clear and helpful. The only area that was somewhat confusing was the 1099R section, however I am not sure if the confusion lies with TurboTax or not. I didn't need to enter the information we were provided but it seemed like I did (otherwise why have a 1099R sent to us?). After reading the explanation several times, we were able to figure it out.
Overall, TurboTax made filing our taxes as painless as possible. Thank you!
What's great about it: Importing information from previous years was great!
What's not so great: Some of the explanations were confusing

Survived another tax year...

TurboTax is a like coffee... once you start using it, you don't know how you got through the tax season without it.
What's great about it: Great step by step process flow. Good navigation when you know precisely which section you want to work on, update
What's not so great: Need more interview capability , explaination and help links in the estimated tax sections

I DIDN`T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. THAT IN ITSELF IS GREAT DURING TAX TIME.
What's great about it: EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

TT is a great product

I have used Turbo Tax for at least 20 years and have always liked it. It's very simple to use no matter which version and has always been accurate. I have used all versions from basic to premier, including business. I will continue to use it in the future.
What's great about it: Everything, have used for long time

More complicated than in the past

Product is OK but past versions offered more fluid flow of the process. Took much longer this year than last year. Some things not explained fully.
What's great about it: Seems to cover all of the items and easy to understand
What's not so great: More confusing than past versions. Should be more user friendly than it is.

Problm with Illinois

Everything went quite smoothly until filing, then my IL Return was rejected for e filing. Reason given was too incorrect withholding entries on calculation sheet even though there were o withholding entries and no errors reported. After redoing the calculation sheet several times, the e filing was completed.

Smooth run...........

The Federal procedure was very straight forward until time to input the state income tax. There incorporating the estimated and also that paid in 2012 caused some confusion. Its Deductible is very nice to use, but I ran into two common items that were not represented in the data base.
What's great about it: Mostly easy and mostly clear
What's not so great: Getting Oregon tax data into the Fed not so clear
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Although I did not get a refund, my payment was smaller than aniticpated as turbo tax pointed out a couple of things I overlooked.
What's great about it: Ease of use, lots of info and guidance
