Did the job

I have used TurboTax since the 90s and until recently always went to forms because I understood that better than the "interview" method. The interview method does go faster if you just have faith and follow it through. At times it does feel like they are treating me like a child, but it works. Old habits just die hard I guess.
What's great about it: Quick. Thorough.
What's not so great: Sometimes confusing.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I was having trouble with my tax return. The person who helped me was very patient and assisted me to complete it! I was lost and he helped me find my way. Turbotax is very easy to follow. I love the step by step directions. It is easy and saves time when filing taxes!

VERY VERY EASY. MY 10 YEAR OLD COULD HAVE DID MY RETURN FOR ME CAUSE TURBOTAX WALKED ME THRU IT

THE WORDING ON SOME OF THE QUESTIONS COULD BE WORDED A BIT DIFFERENT FOR THE NOVICE TAX PAYER. OTHER WISE IT IS A QUICK WAY TO GET YOUR TAXES DONE BY YOURSELF.

Fast and easy, BUT...

I really resent having the OS requirements change from year to year. This is not only an inconvenience but an expense as well. The next time this happens, I will have to buy a whole new computer just to use this product. The need to upgrade then outweighs the many benefits of this otherwise fine product (I would have given it 5 stars were it not for this lack of backward compatibility.)
What's great about it: Fast and easy to use, well integrated.
What's not so great: Being forced to upgrade my OS.

TurboTax makes it very easy to go through all the steps of various complicated tax situations. The Back and Continue buttons make it helpful in navigating without losing any previously entered information. It covers all topics and ensures that any scenario is not missed. The design and layout of the pages make it easy to follow along.
