Reversed My Expectations!

If you need assistance with filing your taxes easily, I recommend using Turbo Tax. The only flaw is that my father and I both use Turbo Tax now, and we have the same first and last name. Too bad for him, I used it first. He has had trouble e-filing and signing for his returns, but I hope that this is corrected for this year.
What's great about it: The walkthrough process for maximizing deductions is fantastic! Maximize the amount you get back!
What's not so great: This program has gotten exceedingly better over the years!

Easy as a piece of cake!

This is the first time that my wife and I used Turbo Tax to file our taxes. We were able to sit in the comfort and privacy of our home and do it together. In the past we would have someone prepare our taxes for us but after using Turbo Tax today we decided this is what we'll use from now on, It rocked!!! Awesome program that we highly recommend. Thanks Turbo Tax!

Easy as always

I really like using Turbo Tax. It makes the whole process easier and less worrisome for mistakes. Especially the hassle of re entering data from last year. Nicely taken care of for you. This year there was a glitch when it came time to load the state taxes section. It would not start up. Finally closed the program and reopend. State section then started.
What's great about it: Smooth and easy to undestand
What's not so great: Glitches between Federal and State Loading

I had a difficult time figuring out the NC nonresident income adjustment steps. Unclear what was required.

So super simple!

Turbo tax makes is very easy to stay organized and get those taxes done. I am not what you would call a tax wizard, and to be honest, if I had to file my own taxes, I wouldn't itemize. Turbo tax walked me right through the itemization process and got me a much bigger refund. I'm on my fifth year of using Turbo Tax and it is painless to do my taxes every year.
What's great about it: Turbo tax is so very user friendly to use and it's very easy to stay organized with it.
What's not so great: Nothing. Everything was great.

I found it difficult to pick which forms I wanted to print. All the worksheets are great to store in a PDF file, but I really don't want copies of them.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over ten years now. It does a very good job in guiding you through the tax preparation process. If you have a relative straightfoward tax situation ( children, house, rental property, investments, small business, state taxes, etc. then Turbo Tax can help you get it done faster. Much faster!! I still don't understand why regular people pay a tax professional to do their taxes, it makes no sense to me. Unless you have offshore accounts in the Cayman Island or Swissland and trying to to avoid taxes , then you should use Turbo tax to get you taxes done. I am originally from Jamaica, so doing US taxes is something I had to learn. I thing it is important that I understand what information I am sending to the IRS since I am the one that will go to jail or be fined if something is wrong, hence I do my own taxes.
What's great about it: Comprehensive Guided Interviews
What's not so great: Sometimes doing multiple state taxes can be challenging.
