Easy Does It

Been using Turbo Tax for several years. Makes life much easier.
What's great about it: Simple and complete, did not take a lot of time
What's not so great: When asked to print before I got to the end, got help page instead of list of pages to print.

Turbo Trials

It wouldn't let me e-file until errors were corrected. It was asking for a postal code but really wanted the two letter abbreviation for my state. I was on the phone for 30 minutes until support was able to connect to my computer and figure out how to fix the problem

I have been using TURBO TAX for years and I love it. Works very well. I would love it if TT would provide me with a multiple year view of my income and taxes.
What's great about it: I love the way TURBO TAX leads you through every detail
What's not so great: I would like the option to NOT print out my quarterly est payments.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Amazed At How Simple TurboTax Is!

My wife and I had always hired an Accountant to file our tax returns. A few years ago we decided to try TurboTax (I had used it many years ago). Now we use it every year. We continue to be amazed at how simple it is to use. What's not to like? Information from previous years is saved. the wizard guides you through the data gathering and entry process for new and changed information. As long as we keep all of our Tax documents in one place throughout the year, filing is a snap. We also love the return checking features. Almost every year, we receive suggestions helping us maximize our refund and correcting errors that may have slowed our return processing.
Thanks TurboTax! Now if you could only get the Government to reduce rates...
What's great about it: Key info saved year after year!; Easy to enter new information
What's not so great: I'm sorry but I can't think of any Cons.

File with Confidence

What a relief! Just finished my tax return and can rest easy knowing it went through a thorough review thanks to Turbo Tax. I feel confident that all income was recognized and more importantly, all possible deductions have been addressed and included. As a result of using Turbo Tax for many years, the year over year comparison it provides is very helpful in identifying trends and planning for the next year. Turbo Tax is an essential support service, especially in tax years such as this where changes to reporting requirements were occurring up to the last minute. Thanks for my peace of mind!

Faster and more simple than expected

Yet another year with no issues or surprises about our personal tax situation. One of our children was no longer an eligible dependent and determining so was pretty straight forward. Ran into what I consider a significant bug between in how real estate taxes are collected. The number was doubled during the check phase because the value was assumed to be missing from the 1098 and was linked to the separate number entered but that number was not removed - the net was a much nicer and audit able refund. Needs to be fixed and nothing should be assumed correct.
What's great about it: Like a guide dog for the tax blind
What's not so great: Don't trust everything

Plowed through the TurboTax 2013 Version

Overall a good product. I think 2011 and 2010 had some better navigation features that allowed quicker access to the overall menu screens. The 2012 version had forward and back buttons but did not take you to the overview screens as easily.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to complete taxes
What's not so great: Navigation away from detailed areas to overview screen is not as good this year as it was in prior years.
