I managed some great deductions I hadn't thought of because of the TurboTax prompting. Turned from me owing money to getting a refund!
What's great about it: very easy to use, walked me through great deductions
What's not so great: charged for filing state tax returns

Guidance and Explainations Need Help

Basic explaination of how to handle Health Saving Account information was poor.--- Had to ask my company about how to handle.
Explaination of how to handle buys and sells of options(calls) was poor.--- Turbo Tax made me think that I had to deal with 1256 capital gains --- Spent way too much time tracking down --- Finally the IRS regulation was actually not that bad --- Had Turbo Tax had the basic explaination from the IRS it would have saved me a lot of frustration and time. ---- Poor or non-existent explainations seem to be the Turbo Tax standard

Fast and easy

It took all of a couple of hours. Keep your receipts throughout the year and when tax time comes, let Turbo Tax ask for your numbers. Pretty easy for even a dummy like me. Also, so much cheaper than my old tax preparer.
What's great about it: Got rid of the pit in my stomach
What's not so great: Some discriptions are missing

Easy to use when it extracts last year info. Most confusing issues related to our data collection so it could be entered into the program.
What's great about it: straight forward, with definitions
What's not so great: didn't explain why standard vs. deductions

Excellent help guides with every question

Turbo Tax is an excellent tax application with easy and extremely understandable panels for all questions and entries. Summary explanations associated with certain numbers allowed the user to get an understanding of how these certain numbers were calculated without having to go back through extra panels, a big plus. Each year Turbo Tax has improved their application not only making tax reporting for anyone accurate but making it more user friendly, which in turn makes the whole experience very, very good---thank you !!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax was easy to use, had excellent help quides with every question, indicated missing information.
