Easy to use

if you try to go back and make changes to you input on some deduction can not go back and change to not pick a deduction only can leave and put 0 in for that deduction
What's great about it: Easy to follow thru year after year transfer
What's not so great: this Year Program has Bugs

I like how quick and easy it is. I get my taxes done in a couple hours.
I did get stuck in a loop at one point in time. My 1099-misc had info in box 3 and it kept telling me i shouldn't have anything there. I don't know what I did to get out of the loop

Quick and Easy

The program's ability to automatically pull from previous returns saves the headache of looking up that info, and helps as a double check for anything I forgot. The layout and format are simple and easy to understand, and year over year consistency keeps navigation familiar.
What's great about it: Easy Walkthough, Remembers Last Year

Why I stick with Turbo Tax

Friends and family keep encouraging me to stop paying for Turbo Tax but I am used to it, and it's very easy and fast.

Overall, I've been using Turbotax for a long time and always had a good experience. I have no idea how I would go back to using hardcopy forms, doing my own calculations, or even trying different scenarios to optimize my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: After updates, the screen message says Turbotax will reopen. It never does.

Surprised at problems

I've used Turbo Tax for several years and have always found it mostly easy to use and understand. This year however was much different. The Educator expenses had me going in literal circles for several days. The program kept asking me to fix a problem and then when I did would continue on. Then the same problem would pop up again and it would not let me change the information to fix it. I ended up trying to transmit my taxes a dozen times before it finally accepted the same information I'd put in and sent the taxes out. I was very surprised at the difficulties I had with this year's version of Turbo Tax. The problems were sufficiently frustrating that I do not think that I will use the program for next year's taxes. I am disappointed as I had depended on this product for many years.
What's great about it: Good explanations for most things - like the step by step process
What's not so great: Transmission problems and getting caught in loops trying to correct errors
