a few querks this year

When I restarted, it didn't pick up were I left off, but I had to step through every thing again. I set a flag, but it wasn't apparent how to get back to it.
Also, there was no option to report interest earned that wasn't reported on a 1099INT. I made less than $10 so my bank didn't report it. Turbotax only asked for those reported on the 1099INT - not self reported, so I had to go back in and list it under 'as reported on 1099INT'.

Maybe not next year

Overall I was disappointed with this years version of TurboTax. Maybe it had to do with all the last minute physical cliff and tax issues and/or the fact that my local joined RITA for local taxes but the process to file this year was very cumbersome.
What's great about it: Easy to install and import
What's not so great: Updates not always downlaoded/installed on first attempt

Needs more visibility of background computations

In order to plan to pay less tax you need to know how your taxes are structured. Turbo Tax is becoming lazy. Show us more. I shouldn't have to dig for answers on how come my deductions didn't all count wrt AMT.
What's great about it: Easy to use for average filer
What's not so great: Doesn't go far enough showing why things like AMT are costing you more

As always Turbotax walks you thru the steps - nothing hard about this program at all! Have been doing my taxes with the program for years and have always been happy.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to follow
What's not so great: None that I am aware of.

Turbo tax 2012

For me, the best feature was the transfer of the previous year's information to the new tax forms. It made comparing data a valuable tool in preparing this latest Turbo Tax filing.
What's great about it: Most questions were straightforward and easy to type in.
What's not so great: Not easy to find NJ total taxible income breakdown.

Easy, as usual, with one glitch

The payment section was buggy and kept giving me error messages about running scripts. Also, it was hard to get my user name to my Turbo Tax account sent to my email.
As I only log in once per year, and I'm sure many folks are in the same boat, this process should be made easier and less buggy.
What's great about it: Easy to use, like always
What's not so great: Payment for filing state refund was buggy
