Complex Issue Made Easy

Have used Turbo Tax for several years. Each year seems to be more advanced and easier to use.Only question this year is what appears to be lack of estimated tax coupons for 2013 which as I recall were included in last years program. Could be that I have not gone far enough to find them. Good job.

When asking about pensions it's in with to many other types and confusing. over all I've used turbo tax for years and will get it again.
What's great about it: federal return easyto use
What's not so great: State return was hard to use and some things on federal were very confusing.

How Easy Can It Be?

What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and explanations.

I've used Turbo Tax for years. It is reliable and every year they make it easier to use. However, some of the more complex items are not well explained (alt min tax is getting better, but pieces of it are still confusing).
Don't know why but this year was first time I couldn't get it to accept my property taxes as a legitimate deduction until I input them from the worksheet. Luckily another user clued me in to this or I'm not sure how I would have figured that out.
What's great about it: walks me through most items in clear, simple language
What's not so great: didn't accept my property taxes until I input them in the worksheet; some of more complex items are not explained

I have use Turbo Tax for years and I have been very happy with its capabilities and functionality provided. The user forum provides answers to the most common questions that you may have, coupled with the extensive help and links to the IRS and State publication, makes easier to complete your taxes accurately. If you have more complicated tax situations, they provide assistance as well at a reasonable rates. I used some other packages as well as a way to compare results and I always returned to Turbo Tax for its easy to use and completeness. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Great tool that I have been using for years. It does provides all the forms, advice and assistance to get your taxes.
What's not so great: None that I can think of
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

turbo tax

I entered all info required , however, T.T. did not fill in one form with this info and gave filing error message. I had to go back and enter information in proper area that T.T. had neglected.
What's great about it: Fast- easy download of broker info saves hours of time!
What's not so great: something wrong with K1 form (or data transfer to form)
