Easy Tax Prep

Overall very easy to use, I have been using Turbo Tax for years and wouldn't consider any other tax prep software
What's great about it: Concise and thorough wizard to guide me
What's not so great: Revisiting my return often required me starting a section again

Good for simple returns. Dont trust the audit.

This software is not bullet proof. There were multiple things in my return I was not familiar with (HSAs for example). Turbo Tax allowed me to fill out my returns incorrectly multiple different ways (I didnt understand the questions... GIGO). Their audit said everything was fine with my return each way.
Fortunately, I knew enough to realize that neither I nor the software knew what it was doing and asked for help on turbo tax community. I believe I have done it correctly this time thanks to their advice.
What's great about it: Cheap and relatively easy
What's not so great: Could not have succeded without TT community

Grat product but one improvement needed

I have several bank accounts and I'd like to be able to sort them from one year to the next. They com in in the order that I entered them last year. Often, I have to add new accounts which are placed at the end of the list. I would prefer to have them listed in alphabetical order.
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use
What's not so great: Needs a sort capability

Best Software Yet

I have use Turbo Tax for several years now. Has always been helpful in allowing us to do our own taxes. It is good to know how a refund or return looks like as we go along. Very helpful in stepping us through all the possibilities for income as well as deductions. This past year it brought out deductions that I wasn't sure would be allowed.
What's great about it: Always being updated, clear directions
What's not so great: Looking for info where there isn't any on the W2s and 1099s

The instructions for both the state and federal return is easy to follow and does all the calculations for me. Everything is up to date per the year filing forms and filing is made easy.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: I didn't quite understand the State payment instructions. Thought it was asking if fee should be taken from state return
