I have used turbotax now for several years and feel comfortable using the Turbotax Delux software. I will use the software in the future.
What's great about it: ease of use

Got the Job Done

Gets the job done but could be improved by cutting down on the number of screens to cycle through. The information requested on educational costs lacks clarity. TurboTax asks what was actually paid and scholarships separately then later subtracts our scholarships. It takes a careful reading to notice the "actually paid value" is to include all eligible cost (even if not actually paid because they were reduced by a scholarship) because the program later subtracts out the scholarship value. I recommend this section be improved.
What's great about it: Has the forms needed and sorts through education deduction posibilities.
What's not so great: Unnecessary screens to cycle through. Confusing entry requests for education expenses.

Liked the interface.

What's great about it: Simple easy to work through and walk through
What's not so great: Doesn't allow you to pick your children as full year until after an audit. Blood pressure was high for a while.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great refund

I like turbo tax much better than the H&R version I've used in the past. turbo tax imports information very well.
The only concern I had this year was I had to totally exit out of turbo tax in order for it to accept/route me to my state form. this needs to change. this was NOT an issue I had last year.
What's great about it: simple and understandable
What's not so great: when I was trying to file with state, it wouldn't download state forms. I had to exit turbo tax so it would work.

Quick and easy

Program is getting easier and quicker each year. Very convenient to stop and continue at any time. Filing was a breeze.

2012 turbotax did the job

I have used this program for several years I am hooked. The program did allow a duplicate down load of an 199 int and div that had two differen names on it. It would be nice if the program would surch for matching values in multiple forms and ask if the data was a duplicate. It was however, easy to see on the forms view and delete the duplicate forms.
What's great about it: Same as always it provided the informatin I needed, down loaded information from sources that were available, and checke
What's not so great: Past years provided a comparison of the tax I paid with the average. This years program did not do this, ???

Turbo Tax Software

The federal section of the software was easy to use and easy to understand. However, the state portion of the software just kept looping, charged us a fee when it said the first state was free and then did not proceed to process any data. Unfortunately, could not get any help since this was done during the weekend.
