Excellent Product

The con example was only a minor issue. The program did finally ask about any unused entry during the e-file process. Easy to correct but expected this earlier in the process such as during the review. In previous years the program highlighted the unused entry earlier in the process.
As for the Pros - Easy to understand software. Takes very little time to enter the various items for the tax forms. Provides me access to all the necessary information I need to easily file a correct return. I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have always been pleased with the results.
What's great about it: Easy to follow steps with all the extra help you could ask for.
What's not so great: For some reason the program did not delete or alert me to an unused entry carried forward from the 2011 program.

I have used Turbo Tax since the mid 90's and don't plan on using any other tax software
What's great about it: Turbotax does everything for me without the need for me to study the IRS instructions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Gets better every tear

Been using TurboTax for past 20 years. Started off as a very good program, and each year has improved. Makes doing taxes much less of a chore. I also use it to do taxes for my mother, who has a small mail order business. TurboTax has been a huge help in regard to her taxes
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

OVERALL THE SOFTWARE IS QUITE GOOD. ALTHOUGH THERE IS A BUG IN THE W2 ENTRY FORM IN THE 4TH AND 5TH LINE OF BOX 12. THE APPLICATION DUPLICATES LINE 4 INTO LINE 5.
What's great about it: EASE OF USE

Why was I charged to file

I'm not sure why I was charged for state e-file when I purchased the version that said it was free. Also I don't like that you put information in for deductions and there is no explanation of why the deduction ends up what it is. For example if you have interest on your tuition why do you only get part of that paid interest.
What's great about it: Quick, easy e-file
What's not so great: e-file charge, no explanations

Newbie Knew Nothing till TurboTax Triumph!

Super easy to work with TurboTax. The whole process took far less time and caused way less stress than I had anticipated. I'm not looking forward to taxes next year, but I won't be intimidated by them with Trusty TurboTax.
What's great about it: Totally guided me through business expenses and prompted me to review receipts, appts, mileage, etc.
What's not so great: Sometimes hard to backtrack to check things.
