I have used this product for several years now and it keeps improving every year. Too bad I couldn't get a refund this year, but I didn't expect one to begin with.

Using Turbotax year after year makes tax entry easier, since it transfers data and asks questions based on prior year entries. If you keep your records in that same sequence and all together, it will be a fairly quick process. It does assume you understand what is taxed and what is deductible and sometimes asks questions about form numbers rather than form names. On the AMT section it inexplicable requires me to go back and reenter data that is has in my saved tax files from last year, when I also used Turbotax. Overall, this program is accurate and easy to use. I have used it for my own and family member taxes for years.
What's great about it: Thorough and logical pathway though data entry. Fairly quick if you have the right documents assembled.
What's not so great: Some things like AMT require a fairly advanced understanding and review of prior year forms.

The software is extremely user friendly, I had no problems imputing all my information.
The only negative was the long hold time to talk to a customer service representative. The online wait times were very misleading (you should look into that). It said 10 minutes or under for a phone representative and I was waiting an hour and fifteen minutes. I understand there is no way to be precise on wait times but it was way off. Maybe while on hold it can say you are this number in line to give a better idea on how long one should expect to wait.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Long wait time to talk to a customer service rep.

Done without a major headache!

Makes paying taxes less painless. I like the risk meter at the end and our year-to-year comparisons. I also like that e-filing is now free!
What's great about it: Step by step instructions and easy to follow.
What's not so great: Time consuming because it is so thorough
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

the boxes to answer question were hard to see. example...at the end when you fill in your name for signature I didn't know there was a separate box for my last name so I kept on getting an error.Very frustrating
What's great about it: question prompts
What's not so great: hard to see which boxes to fill in on computer. need better colors

Another Great Refund!

I like how Turbo Tax takes me through my tax return in an organized way and makes sure that I consider all areas of income as well as deductions so I do not make unintentional errors. I also appreciate being able to explore on my own for areas I am more familiar with.
I would prefer to pay a little more for the software and be able to file all family state taxes without paying any additional costs. That is annoying.

Turbo Tax is great for anyone with simple straight forward taxes. Anything more complicated like self employment and such, i might want to use a independent accountant but if you just work a job and have no crazy investments and complicated finances, it's hard to beat with Turbo Tax which is so much cheaper than an accountant doing your taxes.
What's great about it: user friendly, straight forward, easy guidance
