overall, my taxes were easy to prepare. Would be nice to be able to enter per form number, because its sometimes confusing to figure out where the numbers get input. help online was easy and answered most of my questions
What's great about it: most questions had answers on the support website
What's not so great: no way to enter per form number

I have trusted and used TT for MANY years...since probably the first year it was published.
Have done forms for my children and grands as well.
Have recommended its use to many friends over the years.
I find the step-by-step guides easy to follow - mostly - and feel secure that the info in always current.
E-filing sure makes things easier.
Lots of history in a small amount of file-drawer and thumb-drive space.

What's great about it: Calculations and carry through to all forms. Transfer great
What's not so great: Having to scroll down to "continue" on each page

Not forewarned of system requiremens

I receive Turbo Tax each year on automatic renewal, but was not forewarned that the 2012 program required a 64-bit processor--mine is 32. Consequently when I began to do my taxes, the program was useless on my own computer. I had to borrow a computer to do my returns. I am not renewing at this point, wondering if I need a new computer, a new processor or a new tax program. It would have been nice to know of this before I acknowledged my renewal.
What's great about it: Program is sequentially easy to use
What's not so great: I was unable to use on my own computer

Take charge of your taxes

So many people are afraid to do their own taxes, and it shocks me to hear what they pay other people to do them. I always encourage them to just TRY turbo tax and see how easy it is. They'll be mad that they ever paid someone to do what anyone can do, and proud of themselves for finally taking charge of their own taxes. With turbo tax out there, most people do not need to pay someone to do their taxes. They whole system is a racket.

I've been using Turbo Tax for a number of years and this years version is by far the best I've used. It's very well laid out, flows very easily and is so simple to use. Great job!
What's great about it: I liked the flow and ease of use.
What's not so great: None that come to mind

The chore was accomplished quickly and without too much pain.
What's great about it: Familiar, reliable.
What's not so great: Nothing really.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
