Thorough Tax Prep Process

I have been using TurboTax for 3 years. I've used professional tax preparers in the past and find that. TurboTax provides the save level of expertise and security I need to file my taxes. I itemize deductions and the step by step process is very easy to navigate. It allowed me to accurately price out charitable items and work through college related costs, and unemployment situations with ease. It was exceptional in helping me to understand what deductions were or were no longer applicable. It also allowed you to print out every single calculation page for your records.
I will continue to use this method and recommend to my friends.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate; provided concise explanations of process

Been using this awhile and works for me. Occasionally does a few weird things (like not saving properly) but am used to this by now. May try another option next time due to cost.

Consistant Tax software

Overall Turbotax continues to be my tax software of choice. Pulling data from the prior year to start the return is an outstanding feature. I would like to see more analysis of the data including multiyear trending of my taxes, up to five years prior, if the data exists.
What's great about it: Pulls data from prior year
What's not so great: Cost of multiple states, ability to easily reference where detailed information was generated.

Turbo Tax is Awesome!

I have used Turbo Tax for several years now and it makes doing my taxes so much easier. All of my info is transferred from the previous years return so it takes a lot less time. I recommend Turbo Tax to all my friends.
What's great about it: Makes doing your taxes less of a hassle. Walks you through everything step by step.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

Easy Returns

Federal return was a breeze. I had an issue with the state return. The first try at doing the State return put me in a loop of checking for updates. It kept coming back to the same screen after the check. I finally got out and came back in later. It checked for updates first and that solved the problem.
What's great about it: Step thru process made sure I didn't skip somthing
What's not so great: Had to wait for CT update to complete State form

Was easier to use than the first program I bought.
What's great about it: Easy to use, they step you thru it and ask the extra questions to help you fill in the forms.
What's not so great: Would be nice if one state return was included for free.
