For what it does, it does it very well. However, I wish it would tone down the YOUR BIGGEST REFUND hype since, I owed - once it gets to the point where you owe, I hated to see the call outs and banners to YOUR BIGGEST REFUND it was distracting and completely inaccurate at that point.
I also didn't like that after buying the desktop software I still had to pay to file my Federal taxes. I thought that should be included in the price.
What's great about it: Easy, Fast
What's not so great: Expensive

Refund for me

Tax refund was maximum without even considering itemizing, so why bother with those steps?
What's great about it: Easy steps to follow
What's not so great: Could be more logical in small incomes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy to file

I teach an Income Tax course for the Certified Financial Planning exam and tell the students that everything we are learning is done automatically on TurboTax. And it is!!! Very accurate even on difficult tax matters. Makes the painful process of income tax preparation very easy.
What's great about it: easy guide through tax prep

I have used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember. I will use it until I no longer have to file taxes!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax does all the thinking and work for you - makes preparing taxes a breeze!

I've used this for years and it has worked well. One disconcerting thing is that if you go back a few screens and then go forward, it sometimes takes you to a different spot in the prep process and has occasionally missed some critical info. that I needed to fill in.
What's great about it: Easy-to-use interface
What's not so great: Memory hog, price
