Like a tax pro sitting beside me!

Just an awesome product overall. Has helped me for 25 years. Will continue to use as long as there are taxes, which is one of those "for sure" things in life!
What's great about it: The math is done for you!!
What's not so great: Not free for everyone, but well worth it!

Why the difference?

I've been a TT user since 2009. I ended up owing tax to Federal this year, instead of getting the smaller refund I expected. There was a difference of about $600 from last year, and that is AFTER taking into account the obvious reasons. Seems like too large a difference for the slight difference in the figures this year. TT lists the figures in comparison to last year, but it stops short of explaining the specifics. Was it the slight difference in contributions, the slight increase of income, tax law changes, or a combination of all these things? It would be reassuring to know.

Overall, a great experience. I think the deduction finder ought to be part of the deluxe package.
What's great about it: Ease of use through the many wizards
What's not so great: The software seems to request updates multiple times a day.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH 2012 TURBO TAX

With the new tax laws, it was good to have simple explanations of the changes. The "Explain This" feature in each section of the income and deductions/credits sections were invaluable. I've use Turbo Tax for more than 10 years and will continue to use it in further years.
What's great about it: QUICK , EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND INSTRUCTIVE

Very easy to use! Anyone can follow the step by step instructions even with a complicated return.

this is so easy and worth the $. I knew that I would be able to do my taxes in less than an hour. Great stuff
What's great about it: can quickly do taxes

TurboTax Deluxe Review

I live in one state and work in another. TurboTax would not allow me to pay with a credit card. Kept receiving an error message that the session had timed out.
On the positive side, the telephone support was excellent.
What's great about it: Relatively Painless
What's not so great: Credit Card Payment Snafu
