Helpful to the nth degree

Overall, the support was very helpful answering technical questions and how to work through part year residence issues.
What's great about it: Great support via chat and phone
What's not so great: Update required right before submission took a while to install

it would be nice if there were deduction finders that were specific to certain types of positions. My wife and I are both educators...I know that the system helps to find advanced deductions that may apply. I know that you are capturing the basic stuff, but if there are less common deductions that may apply (but benefit the user) that would be appreciated.
What's great about it: user friendly, handy downloading from investment banks, comparison to previous year
What's not so great: Prior submissions from CD-based users are not stored online. It would be a nice addition if I could upload my forms

I like the fact that I don't have to reenter all of the personal data. Also if something happened last year and maybe I forgot about it this year Turbo Tax will remind me.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: Nothing

Works smooth for Federal - Needs help on Mass

Takes you through the taxes pretty smoothly. Can gather the information from last years return and electronically from banks. It indicates that Masschusetts excise tax on an auto is not deductible as an auto registration which is correct but it doesn't say that you can deduct this as another property tax. It also doesn't remind you to include the Mass healthcare form if you mail in the return. Another annoying thing is all the ads to buy other software or services through out the process.
What's great about it: Great that it imports last years info
What's not so great: Doesn't completely understand Mass tax laws

Taxes done

Turbo tax is easy to use and since I've been using it for years, the program compares previous years to the present. There was one glitch this year when turbo tax stated that my employer had taken too much out, which got my hopes up. Unfortunately, Turbo Tax was wrong and my employer was right. Other than that it was a simple process.
What's great about it: I've been using Turbo Tax for years. It is easy and fast.
What's not so great: This year there was one glitch

Another year Completed with Turbo Tax

turbo tax has become the go to tax prep software. Each year the new features make the software easier to use and more user friendly. Import all 1099's is a big plus. Additional help from a number of sources are available if necessary. Everyone with a limited knowledge of tax preparation should be able to use the software.
What's great about it: easy to use step by step instructions with additional help if needed
