Like the software

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years. Other than some technical issues this year which ended up being a conflict with my antivirus software, I've never had any problems.
What's great about it: goes Allows you to go to just the forms you need orthrough an interview process
What's not so great: Had problems with an update

Fairly easy to use and the software, while thorough, was not able to back up easily when I made an error in entry. Turbotax charged me for state, and it should have been included.
What's great about it: Walked me through the schedules, and uploaded quickly from investment site
What's not so great: Charged me again for state tax filing, it should have been free

Biggest Refund I've Ever Received!

As the result of multiple moves during 2012, I had to file in three different states. TurboTax made the process nearly effortless. By simply transferring all of my information from my federal returns into my state returns I saved time and energy. TurboTax also identified some deductions for me that I would have not otherwise discovered on my own and helped my federal refund grow to the biggest return I've ever received! Thanks for making an excellent product that I trust and will continue to use annually.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: The cost to file in multiple states
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great but could use better links to information

Was easy to use, but lacked some features of previous years that I found extremely helpful - like direct links to IRS information and publications right from the screen you were working on, and the navigation window that allowed you to go directly to the step you wanted, rather than going to a tab then going through all the steps all over again. I had to go to IRS and state websites because I could not find the information on TurboTax. Some screens had questions I did not understand and had to guess, then review the forms to see what was going on. Example - I had an accident where my car was a total loss, and got reimbursed by the insurance company a month later (and after I bought a used car to replace the wrecked one). Turbotax did not explain like-kind exchange, trade in, or insurance payment for loss, so I had to guess and found out I guessed wrong and had to go through all the Schedule C screens again since the car was used partly for business.
I do really like the way TurboTax automatically keeps my previous years information and populates the appropriate forms with it. Overall, though, an excellent product.

Major problem when I got to the end of the program and did the review. The software wanted to fill in a blank dependents form. I had already completed 2 dependent forms early in the program for my two dependents, but this itinerant blank form showed up only at the review for reasons unknown. The software would not allow me to proceed easily, but once I did, I was prevented from e-filing because the blank dependent form was not filled in. I could not go to forms and delete the blank form because there were no blank forms there to delete, so I saved and closed several times. At the end, the unwanted dependents form vanished and I was able to proceed and e-file. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the unwanted form was initiated when I checked to see if I qualified for the earned income credit, but was not filled in because the income was too high. Whatever the reason, this problem cost me about 2 hours of my time, should not have happened, and was quite frustrating.
What's great about it: Entering information was easy.
What's not so great: Didn't grab last years info well, left a lot of blanks, and other problems.

I have used TurboTax for several years. One year, I did use the competitor and never will again--I came back the very next year because TurboTax is so easy to use and the most intuitive to work through! I'm a dedicated fan!!
What's great about it: Love the questions--this software has gotten better each year!
What's not so great: I couldn't see where the schedules were listed as in the past. Maybe there but not clearly marked.
