Easy to file

The step-by-step guide makes it eaasier to complete even a complex return. I would not have been able to complete my return on my own this year without it.
What's great about it: Walked me thru the difficult parts of my return.

Another Turbo Tax Year

I've used Turbo Tax for many years, each year buying it because I know I can rely on it, processing tracking is comprehensive, and I like the ability to have the software readily available for what-if excursions regarding varying income, deductions and other factors that may affect my tax obligations in the future. It also consistently gets the best reviews.
What's great about it: Long-time user, walks you thru everything, checks for errors (which I always have), worth the cost
What's not so great: Some guidelines could have been better explained

Another year

I've used TurboTax for 6-7 years now. The first year, I checked it with my CPA's return and they were very close.
This program is very detailed, but if you have something slightly out of the ordinary, it won't let you just put something down and go on. This year, at the end, even though I had no W-2s, it insisted I put in the state and Zip of me and an employer that I don't have. It won't e-file unless it is happy! I am a Tax Aide for AARP so I have a pretty basic understanding of tax work.

What's great about it: carryover and download from investments
What's not so great: If it gets an idea that something is not perfect, it won't give up even if it is wrong. You have to trick it.

I have used Turbo-Tax since 1991 and would not use any
other tax program. Alhough minor problems have been
encountered from time to time, overall the program has
been excellent. In regared to Cons, above, my tax return for 2009 had to be amended because Turbo-Tax had two different places for entering the 2008 state tax refund and I did not recognize this. Overall, Turbo-Tax has been a great program.

What's great about it: Like the capability to easily switch from Easy Step to Forms.
What's not so great: Appeared to be capability to input state tax refund in two different places.

Excellent - as always

This is the 4th year that I have used TurboTax and I couldn't be happier. I considered paying someone to do our taxes this year because our finances have gotten more complicated. I started our TurboTax return, and was done within 3 afternoons. Best of all, I was expecting to pay thousands this year, and instead I am getting a nice return!
What's great about it: fast, easy, found my deductions
What's not so great: could be more detailed on some things
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy simple refund

the interview process is straightforward. my taxes are somewhat complicated but the interview sorted out what was needed.
What's great about it: the interview process was helpful
What's not so great: lines that needed filled in. wish there was more explanation.

Love it!

This is my second year using turbo tax and I love it. It walks you through everything with simple directions. I don't know why I paid someone else big money to do my taxes for so many years. I will continue to use this program.
