Biggest refund ever

I started my business this year and was scared about filing taxes for the first time. Turbo Tax made it easy. Every deduction was explained step by step. They made the first year EASY! I also got my largest refund ever this year. I was totally surprised and grateful.

The software is very easy to use and it walks you through each step. Even when you enter an error it will ask you to verify the data.

Makes it Easy

Done in 2 days! Walked me through the parts of my income that were complicated, prompts were great. All the complications were handled by the software from Capital Loss CarryOver from previous year to channeling the figures to the state forms. Even handles the CarryOver differences between Federal and State automatically.
What's great about it: All the complicated steps are taken care of by the software
What's not so great: Print for Review step was AFTER step to confirm you reviewed it.

I thought I could e-file for free the state return, at the time of purchase, so I was disappointed. I have prepared many tax returns, professionally, in the past, and it would have been nice to not go thru so many questions, but rather fill out the return, and possibly, only question on new rules...thought the e-filing & getting pins was easier than expected.
What's great about it: easy e-file
What's not so great: too many questions for experienced tax payer

Oh my gosh, I can't say enough about how wonderful Turbotax is. I refer it to all my friends and family. I have been using it for years and absolutely love it. I have tried a couple of others but none compares to Turbotax; it is much easier to read, large enough to see. everything is perfect.

Efficient and accurate

My friends, family, and colleagues all use Turbo Tax. In fact, I convinced our managing director to use it last year. He was the first to file this year, and commented to me that he is conservative (low risk on the review chart) and it's such a user friendly program. I totally agree. No stress anymore, and I filed within plenty of time before the deadline!

Easy as pie

I'm not a computer whiz, but this was extremely easy. They walk you step by step, and if you need help it's right there. This is a joyous program.
What's great about it: Everything was step by step, no guess work or confusion
What's not so great: had to pay federal :(
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Finding a good way to do what I hate doing - taxes

Must of us have to deal with three major issues in completing our tax returns: 1.) properly organizing the very large array of forms we have to fill out, utilizing a wide variety of sources of information, 2.) finding and using key information from the prior year's return, and 3.) insuring that your entries are complete with no inconsistencies. Turbo Tax does a terrific job of making it much easier and faster to do all three. Turbo Tax automatically finds and inserts data from prior year's tax files. It enables you to work on any aspect of the tax return you'd like, at any time -- that is, you don't have to follow the order of the tax return. And almost above all, Tube Tax is excellent at what most of us have much difficulty doing: reviewing and correcting all the entries we have made.
What's great about it: Clear instructions; so easy to select the part of the return I want to work on; excellent and extremely helpful review
What's not so great: Needing to re-enter data after I have gone back to a previous page.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
