simplicity can be genuis

Program on state taxes should look at all info entered on prior year and prompt for an entry. Other than the aforementioned, it was a very efficient program.
What's great about it: transfer of info
What's not so great: missed military reserve pay on state taxes

Slowed my Refund

Was not able to use program w/o updating my software which I had to order by mail. There was no info on this on the cd or packaging. Last years info did not transfer over to 2012 after updating the software. By this I am referring to name, address, etc.
What's not so great: 2011 did not transfer over to 2012 as hoped

Mostly a great experience

I liked starting out with all my basic information entered from previous year. The step by step questions make completing tax information easy. Things I would not have thought of were available for me to decide if it fit my situation. The availability of clicking a highlighted area for additional information was useful. I started and stopped working on my taxes several different times. The checking for errors is great. The system is thorough. My only complaint is that the last unfinished part I was working on the system went to a new section and not the unfinished part.
What's great about it: step by step checks are very helpful
What's not so great: did not take me back to a section I didn't finish

Powerful!

Worth the cost.
What's great about it: The flexibility of the Forms mode and the Questionnaire mode makes it super easy for corrections.
What's not so great: Cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

for Clergy taxes

Does a great job of handling Sec. 107 Parsonage Allowances, auto reimbursements (on Schedule C), and the hybrid status we clergy have of "employee" for income taxes but "self employed" for all other purposes.

Almost everything is great

Everything was great except when I went to electronically file. Keep getting error because I didn't have a middle initial. Searching TT database provided no help so I had to add a made up letter. (Said I had to give 1 letter.)
What's great about it: Nearly everything moved smoothly and easily
What's not so great: Trying to send the efile I had to make up a middle initial for the Federal return. Loop, couldn't get any Turbotax help
