I particularly like the download function from my investment companies.

Relatively easy to use

Turbo Tax lead me through the different segments of the tax return. It was easy to understand and easy to use. This year I think some instructions (viewing the actual forms, for instance) were easier to follow.
What's great about it: I liked the opportunity to explore different segments on my own or have Turbo Tax lead me through segments.
What's not so great: I don't have cons (I guess because I have used Turbo Tax so many years that I am used to the program.

Safe and Reliable

I have been using Turbo Tax consistently since 1997. After a couple of years of double checking all of the calculations, I was convinced that its arithmetic was correct. On occasions when there is a complex calculation, I will dig into the details to see it better. Overall, I have extreme confidence in Turbo's figures. As far as the tax rules it uses, I have researched some of what I have done, and confirmed that the software was abiding by them. For me, Turbo Tax has been a safe and reliable tool to use for this important annual task that must be correctly done.
What's great about it: Flexibility to do taxes answering simple questions while being able to dig into the details if necessary.
What's not so great: Should default more answers based on previous years' returns.

Great Job!

The forms interface has been improved where i can open several forms and page between them similar to a WEB browser.
What's great about it: Good Guided approach
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Respectful Refund

Everything was good except being prompted for 1099-R. After which I was confused if I should count it as a contribution to Trad. IRA. That was confusing.
