What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: difficult to find & enter Alaska permenant fund dividend income

Chatted with a service help and tried working through it, share wouldnt work. still trying to figure it out. we tried to figure it out. not mad at turbo tax just frustrated not done by now...
What's great about it: sitting at home filing taxes

The other tax programs we have tried could not help us with our questions about gay marriage filing jointly. We had to amend our taxes because I had messed it up. Then last year we had someone do it and it cost way too much! This year we tried Turbo Tax and it saved us a bundle and answered all of our questions. Thanks!

Worked great except the program looped when I went to prepare the state portion. I went to the TurboTax help website and quickly found the answer "Restart TurboTax" which fixed the problem. I little inconvenient but not too bad.
What's great about it: Easy Step by Step questions
What's not so great: Looping Issue with the State Return

Turbo Tax is Soooo Easy

I've used TurboTax for many years since it bought out MacInTax . As a vehement Mac user, I have always found Turbotax to work beautifully on a Mac.
I love EasyStep and the option of exploring on my own, so I can make the choice on the basis of what changes each year.
I also love the renewal program where I receive an email in the fall telling me when the program will be ready and when it will be shipped..
What's great about it: Easy to use on a Mac; total confidence in program's accuracy
What's not so great: Worksheets can be tedious
