Easy to understand and I can go at my own pace. If I forget something I don't need to go home and reschedule my appointment with the cpa.

I have used Turbo Tax for 6 years of more and have never had trouble until this year and they are staying with me to get it straightened out;
What's great about it: they stuck with me.
What's not so great: I couldn;t get the final page back and see the pin # again

I love TurboTax, I have had so many years that it is so easy to do. I just wish we could buy updates for less money instead of having to buy a new program each year!
What's great about it: I love that I don't have to have an accountant to do my taxes
What's not so great: No free State filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is my 7th year using Turbo Tax. Every year it gets easier to complete. This year I was 2 hours from start to finish. Amazing compared to the multiple days it took a few years ago.
What's great about it: Pulls last years data, pulls from financial institutions. Fills in as much as possible.
What's not so great: filed a final return for a business in 2011, but it still included the form in 2012.

Great Tool

I have been using Turbo Tax since it came out. I have always been satisfied with how easy it was and especially the e-file as it became available. I have noticed this year that certain tools I had used in the past were missing, such as how my income and deductions aligned with other people in my same tax category and also the accurate comparison of this years data with last years data. or some reason last years data was not imported properly even though I am using the exact same computer and using the same file as I saved last year. I would have rated this 5 stars if it hadn't been for these 2 things.
What's great about it: Takes you through step by step and allows you freedom to explore on your own
What's not so great: Does not transfer pervious years data accurately

Easy Chore

I really like the way the program walks you through every step. However, I am not always sure where numbers will end up and was sometimes puzzled if it should be in point A or B ie. brokerage fees. Eventually it all comes together.
What's great about it: This year's TurboTax was easier to use and very thorough.
What's not so great: Might be complicated for someone who is not familiar with taxes.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

My wife and I like the process of going through and just answering the questions. What we did not like was the complicated explanations while we were compiling our home refinance deductions. Seemed to be way to complicated and full of IRS language. I would like to see you dumb down the language a bit.
What's great about it: Simple process and all-in-one package
What's not so great: To much IRS speak. Need to dumb it down a little
