Has Worked Well for Me for Four Years Now

This it my fourth year using TurboTax. I started using it after going to a pricey tax professional who didn't seem to do anything different than enter the same information into her program that I do into TurboTax. And what little advice she gave didn't result in any advantage over if I had just filed my returns using TurboTax (except that she charged a lot more than the price of TurboTax). TurboTax seems to do a thorough job and I think I'm getting the same result that I did from the prior tax professional I used. I got married and TurboTax made it easy filing a different and more complicated return this year than when I was single. So far, I've been very satisfied with TurboTax and plan to keep using it every year.
What's great about it: Easy. The program guides you step-by-step through your return. You feel like you're not going to miss anything.
What's not so great: Have to pay for state e-filing.

Great Program

I used to do my tax returns manually, and I never knew if I was including all the information I needed to give. Now, the program does all the work for me, and I just input the numbers. Much easier!

I've been using this program for over 10 years. It has saved us a lot of money on tax preparation services. One year we decided to test TurboTax results and consulted with a tax expert. They both indicated the same result. Gave us piece of mind that we weren't leaving money on the table, and that TurboTax is accurate. Will continue to use it!

TurboTax was not taxing to use.

This is the eighth year I have used TurboTax. When tax preparation time comes around, I don't think of any other way to do our Federal, State and local taxes. This product makes is very easy and really helpful.
What's great about it: Easy to follow to complete the process
What's not so great: Issue with paying for state Efiling by credit card
Pros: I bought or sold investments
