Extremely Helpful

I had a tricky return this year, and Turbo Tax completely guided me through it!! I feel confident I filed correctly.
What's great about it: cleared up my confusion
What's not so great: had to pay :( not TT's fault though!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Confusing time made easier

I recently moved from MO to NC and if tax time was not confusing enough-now I needed to do another state. Although I am not happy with the tax rate of NC (over 30%) for a part year resident (4 months), Turbotax helped make this tax season less confusing. I was able to find the information that answered my questions by using the community chat feature and the ask an expert option. I will use Turbotax next year.
What's great about it: Search feature & ask an expert helped
What's not so great: Difficult & time consuming to find exactly what I needed
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and haven't been disappointed yet. It is very intuitive. The step by step instructions make it easy to complete. The questions are very thorough and seem to cover all the bases. It is also easy to install, and automatically retrieves info from previous years so you don't have re-enter a lot of info that doesn't change.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, thorough

Too many updates

Too many updates though year discourages early filing. waited to early April to enter to minimize chance of filing amendments.
Simple error on Minnesota form was explained but not fixed in Turbo. I used on-line Minnesota form for daughters returns. Not worth using turbo and having obvious error in submission.

What's great about it: easy to enter data, quick automatic entry from last years returns
What's not so great: some calculations and explanations hidden or hard to find.

Used Turbo Tax for at least 10 years now and am not interested in changing programs. It makes the process easy to follow by choosing the interview if you've never done your own taxes before or even if you have; or you can choose to go in and enter your information without the prompts if you'd rather. Has explanations about the line items if you aren't sure what information needs to be entered . It makes filing your taxes almost painless.
What's great about it: Easy, walks you right through the process.
