10 Years and Still in Love

I've used TurboTax for the past 10 years (since my very first job, in fact) and I have loved it the whole time. Thanks TurboTax!
What's great about it: The detailed explanations of all the options.
What's not so great: It would be nice if there were some pictures of certain things so I know what I'm looking for.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax is my favorite tax software. I was disappointed that I couldn't burn a copy to disc this year. I could last year. (2011) return.
What's great about it: I love how user friendly the program is.
What's not so great: I couldn't burn a copy to disc this year like last year.

FLAWED PRODUCT

Easy product to use especially if you have used Turbo Tax in prior years. Easily takes you through the forms.
Negative - Have to continually page down to move on to the next topic, default prints too many pages, BIG NEGATIVE: Even though Turbo Tax states the state forms have been successfully downloaded the software will not let you access the state forms.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Unable to access state tax forms, too much paging down to continue with next topic

Great product; very helpful

I find the guided return process to be very helpful. When unsure if an item applies to your situation, the help info/links are great. I did have a bit of trouble transitioning from federal to state this year, which hasn't happened before. I had to go through the seek update process 4-5 times and then finally close the app and reopen it to get the state to move forward. Otherwise no issues this year.
What's great about it: I find the guided return process to be very helpful. The help info w each item is good if you're not sure if it applies
What's not so great: Some difficulty with state this year.

Easy as pie!

This is the 7th year I have used Turbo Tax and if I can do it, anyone with simple computer skills can master it to! I do find the E-filing a bit confusing.I seem to get in to a loop of some kind and I find I can't get out of it unless I back out of the program completely, then go back in under "Return to my Return". That seems to get me out of the loop and in to the next page I need to complete my filing. This happens to me each and every year. Hopefully, you will make it easier when I do my 2013 taxes!
What's great about it: Quick and easy to understand.
What's not so great: Printing and E-filing snafu's

Overall, I'm super pleased with turbo tax and buy it year after year. Has always been easy to use and walks me through the process and makes an annoying chore somewhat simple. Thank you!

Not For Colorado State Tax Return

In completing my Colorado State Tax Return, TurboTax did not calculate the State income tax AddBack correctly. It figured out the difference between my federal itemized deductions and the federal standard deduction. That difference was used, instead of line 5 from 1040 Schedule A. I had to re-do my Colorado return.
What's great about it: worked well again and helps assure that all the items are addressed
What's not so great: Did NOT calculate Colorado State Tax Return correctly. The State Tax AddBack is wrong.
