I have been using this product for years and I have been happy with it.
What's great about it: Very thorough
What's not so great: Can be a little confusing(but it's taxes)

The step by step feature is very easy to use and I appreciate that prior year information is retrieved for current year use. Like the reminders, additional explanations, and ability to view individual forms bypassing the step by step function. No math errors! Very easy to do state return with all the info transferred in and adjustments calculated. Only complaint would be the cost, but I know it is a small price compared to going to a "live" tax preparer. Have used turbo tax for years and can't imagine using anything else.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: sometimes navigating around can be confusing

Not Bad

The only bone to pick was the fact that I indicated during the Federal Return data entry that we had NO W2's. Then during the Utah State data entry, you kept insisting that Utah required our State Employer's Number from our W2!! We're retired ... we have no W2's ... We don't CARE! Give us a way to indicate that so that we don't keep cycling through the loop: Error! ... State requires W2 Employer's Number ... no W2! ... Enter State, Zip Code ... Error! ... Repeat!! Luckily, I have more endurance than your software!
What's great about it: Good review of tax info required
What's not so great: You don't listen to answers! See Review

Quick way to get the job done! Very thorough... comprehensive. I'm always pleased with the smoothness of the process. This software is a role model for user-friendliness.
Seems to keep worksheet title entries (not amounts) from prior years. Problematic during review if you don't have any numbers for that line... and it doesn't allow you to simply clear out the line...hmmm.

What's not so great: Seems to keep worksheet title entries (not amounts) from prior years. Problematic during review...

This is about my 10th year of using TurboTax. Wouldn't do it any other way. I always do the easy step method to make sure I'm not missing anything and I always end up reading and learning things I didn't know.
What's great about it: Blew through my return in record time.
What's not so great: Paying taxes to begin with. Not TurboTax's fault.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The only real issue was when I needed to put in information regarding the purchase of a car... I live in Texas but bought a car in CA... so had to put in I was a resident of CA for 1 day to get it to take the information. Other than that, Turbo Tax continues to meet my expectations.
What's great about it: Easy, Informative, and Effective
What's not so great: Some areas were not covered well
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Live chat great. Improve allocating, bank info

Live chat with an expert makes up for other shortcomings. In the past, i always wondered where I would get stuck, and if I could resolve my issue. Live chat makes me confident.
I use EasyForm to make sure I don't miss anything. I didn't want to (could not easily) indicate how my 2013 taxes will be different from my 2012 taxes; I just wanted to use part of my refund and use estimated taxes to have 100% of my 2012 tax amount be withheld in 2013. It was difficult for me to do that in EasyForm; it was also difficult to do so using Forms.
I printed my taxes to review them a day before e-filing. However, I was surprised to see X's in my 1040 for my bank acct and routing number. EasyForm had not asked me about the information. I found the form in which to indicate I wanted to use the same bank info as last year. When I did e-file the next day, I was shown and asked to confirm my bank info. Although useful in case I had not noticed the "xx's" on my 1040, it should have been asked when I was working on my return.
What's great about it: Explanations very helpful. Live chat with an expert is invaluable!!
What's not so great: Can not alphabetize. Difficult to allocate refund, est taxes. Almost missed bank info for refund.
