I don't believe the ads

I can't believe the ads that tell us to bring our Turbo Tax returns in so they can review them for free. I have done that in the past and have never had them find anything that TTAX didn't find for me.

First time E-Filing

I am 75 years old and not very good with computers, guess I started with them to late in life, this my 3rd or 4th year using Turbo Tax and I felt was the easiest for me to follow. I am sure there were some short cuts I could have taken but I wanted to be sure I covered everything. Thanks for the good softwaare

Easy to Follow

I have always used Turbo Tax to prepare my family and my returns. It has saved me a lot of money in prep fees and has always seemed to max my refund. The easy guide is simple to follow and you are pressed to make a mistake. The review at the end enables you to find errors or omissions and to easily fix them.
What's great about it: Have always liked the way you are guided thru process
What's not so great: Not enough explanation on some items

Nailed It!

I have used the product for many years and find it is still the best way to get my taxes done and filed! When I did them by hand.....I usually would have some miscalulations....bad math.....with Turbo Tax that is not an issue!
What's great about it: Ease of entering data!
What's not so great: I was not able to print estimated tax vouchers! The 1099R section for retirees on pensions is tricky!

Help when I was stuck!!

I needed help to provide income recieved on a foreign pension that started during the year. I could not work out how to provide this information. It was complicated as I had already payed tax on this in the UK. I contact the Turbo Tax online help, then someone called me at home and gave me several options to proceed. I was very impressed and made it so I could continue on my own. Great backup service!!
What's great about it: When I needed help to continue, I got professional help

Returns made simple

Turbo tax allowed me to do my taxes quickly and effectively. The step by step process is excellent. The program asked all the pertinent questions and guided me through all the steps I needed to complete. The best part is how they handle foreign taxes which used to take me hours to calculate.
What's great about it: I like the way it walks you through everything step by step
What's not so great: Update downloads were slow at times
