I've used Turbo Tax for 9/10 years, returning this year since we believe Turbo Tax is thorough & complete. Updates are good! I like options of E-file and snail mail.
What's great about it: Easy switch between Interview Guide to Forms
What's not so great: Need 3rd party for download into program this year, instead of direct from financials

2012 Tax Returns - DONE in Record Time!

Using TurboTax 2012 made the drudgery of doing taxes much easier. The step by step walk through of each topic was easy and the help items were actually helpful and informative and not loaded with jargon and tax-speak that I did not understand. I appreciate knowing that my return is virtually 100% correct.
What's great about it: Very easy, gave me an education credit I had no idea I was eligible for!

Completed before Boredom

I liked what I thought was an easier override to edit or add other 1099 or similar minor transactions to the program. I've been a user since 2004 and continue to be extremely satisfied using TT. It was also very easy to update both TT 2011 & 2012 before starting. I really can't imagine a better or easier way to do taxes. Go ahead---prove me wrong next year!!
What's great about it: Last year plus download of infinite financial data
What's not so great: Difficult to print before filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

LOVE TURBO-TAX 2012

I will definitely use Turbo-Tax again. Unless I own another home again, rather than just renting, I don't see the need to pay someone to complete my taxes.

What's great about it: Easy and Walk Through
What's not so great: Unable to access my 2011 Turbo-Tax because I used a different computer last year

I have been using TT for years, and it has always made the dreaded process of doing taxes a little less painful. Quick, simple, easy to use and walks you through the process step by step.
The only con that I can think of is that this years layout, once it's all done, is a little more cumbersome than previous versions. I was finished with my state taxes, had made an adjustment based on what appeared to be a 'fat finger' input by me. After I had committed it, my return changed slightly and I wanted to review it again, but found it a little harder than previous versions to actually get to that section.
That said, I still think the program is very much worth the small $ investment in it, as my time is just as valuable and the program saves quite a bit of it. It's also having a 'second set of eyes' checking all my figures and inputting for any errors that may have occurred.
