Thank God for Turbo Tax

In previous years the long term / short term designation on cap gains was calculated based on the sale and acquisition dates. Some of the input around the new cap gains requirements could have been simplified
What's great about it: Saved hours if not days
What's not so great: The capital gains input section could have been more intuitive

Finding the information for listing the 1099G information for a state refund was very dificult to find. In fact, there were two different answers found and one was wrong.
What's great about it: While it gets easier each year there are adjustments that have to be made when comparing it to the prior year.
What's not so great: Informtion for finding for prior year state refunds was difficult .

I really enjoyed using Turbo Tax. I use it each year. I like the personal touch that they use to comfort the person doing their taxes; such as "more money- thats a good thing!".
