I love this software!

I have been using TurboTax for more than 5 years and I love it. It walks you through all relevant information and allows you to easily go back and make adjustments or changes. And if you screw-up, it finds your mistakes and helps you correct them! I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to spend a short amount of time doing a gruesome job which everyone hates to do and then loves it when you see an abundant refund!

2012 and once again

been using turbo tax for as long as I can remember. the only time I hired an accountant instead was the only time I filed late and I found errors before it was filed!
What's great about it: easy!
What's not so great: cant think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I found the UI very intuitive and I will be purchasing the same product next year. The ease and recall of the app is very well put together. Ability to upload previous versions to make the data entry more practical and streamline is refreshing. Nicely done!
What's great about it: Fast, and very intuitive
What's not so great: None at this time

Very easy to use if you do not have a special need ex: totally disabled police officer, job related. I had to go to the IRS website for clarification of certain details. Need more depth for this factor, like I need to put "PSO" next to the untaxable amount of disability. The IRS WILL audit you if you do not put this on the form. Needs correction made to program.
What's great about it: easy questions
What's not so great: doesn't allow for police officer disabilities

It is way too easy to run afoul of the constantly changing IRS regs and filing procedures. With Turbotax, I know that is done correctly. Sometimes the math gets a little confused when trying to interpret IRS directions. This too, is done correctly. I also appreciate tips on what the IRS likes to audit, so I can avoid such situations or make very sure that my paperwork will cover it. I can sit back with satisfaction when I've e-filed the final result.
What's great about it: I know my return is done correctly and I have peace of mind.

So Easy

I have used TurboTax for 10 years or more. They walk you through every step, asking all the questions that a paid preparation should ask.
If you have never done your own taxes before, it might take a few hours to make sure you have all your paperwork and information ready. After that, it is just plug-in numbers. Turbo does the rest. Even if you have 'complicated' taxes, there is a Turbo Tax version for you.
Why pay someone else to enter your information in the computer? Do it yourself, get direct deposit, and get your refund for free in just days!
What's great about it: Fast Easy and Thorough
What's not so great: none really

So fast, so accurate

I have always loved Turbo Tax, it is a great piece of software that makes life easy and allows for the biggest refund from the comfort of your own home computer. It helps me understand all the nuances of Tax filing and makes sure I don't miss anything when I file. I love this software and I will never use anything else!!
What's great about it: Makes everything easy to understand
What's not so great: Certain tax info is confusing
